Grainville Platoon
Royal Jersey Militia ACF 

In September 2011, Grainville School and the Royal Jersey Militia ACF joined forces to form the Grainville Section of the local ACF. This mainly comprised of Year 8 students and was so successful that in January 2012, Grainville Section was expanded to a full Platoon made up for 3 Sections.

Currently Grainville Platoon meets with the HQ Troop at the Le Quesne TA Barracks but in the future we are hoping to have Grainville Platoon meet one afternoon a week at the School and join the HQ Troop at the weekend.

Grainville Section is currently badged as Royal Jersey Militia Royal Engineers, but in 2012 we are hoping to rebadge the Platoon as Royal Jersey Militia Light Infantry at a ceremony at Elizabeth Castle. We hope to coincide this with the new intake joining us after the end of the Summer Term.

Grainville Platoon is open to any Grainville Student from Year 8 and above. New Cadets can join from the end of the Summer Term of year 7 and after the ACF Annual Camp.
